Ceremonial Fire Prayer
Full Prayer
In the name of friendship and camaraderie, I come before this fire.
I offer my cedar and sage, my tobacco and medicines, and this smoke that rises to the heavens.
I give these in remembrance, in respect, and in love.
To my brothers—of blood, of spirit, of the cosmos, and beyond this world—
I say this: I am with you always, as you are always with me.
Our bond is not broken by absence, nor by death,
for it is written in the flame, in the wind, and in the beating of the heart.
I will be the bringer of good times, carrying laughter when shadows fall.
And when the dragons rise in hardship,
I will stand at your side to face them.
I will guard what is yours when you cannot,
just as I trust you to watch over what is mine in my own time of absence.
Your friendship honours me.
Your spirit strengthens me.
Your memory lives within me.
May this fire carry my words across the veil,
that you may hear them, and know you are not forgotten.
